Prior to becoming a partner in the federal marketing and lobbying firm of HYJEK & FIX, INC., Donald J. Fix worked as the Director of Government Relations in the Washington, DC office of Bogle & Gates, a preeminent Pacific Northwest law firm. In this capacity, he formulated comprehensive legislative and lobbying strategies to benefit client's interests on a wide variety of commercial and federal sector issues. Additionally, he developed and presented a series of seminars on the Federal Procurement Process throughout the country.

Prior to joining Bogle & Gates, he was employed by Hill and Knowlton Public Affairs, Worldwide, as Deputy Director of Defense and Federal Marketing. In that capacity, he assisted clients in focusing on business opportunities in the federal marketplace, as well as providing counsel on associated procurement, public relations and governmental affairs activities. During his tenure with Hill and Knowlton, his clients were successful in securing numerous government contracts in a diverse range of subject areas.

Mr. Fix retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel after twenty years of service which included several overseas assignments, as well as two tours of duty in Vietnam as a combat infantryman and helicopter pilot. His last five years of service were spent at the Pentagon in the Secretary of the Army's Office of Congressional Liaison, where he was responsible for Army procurement, military construction, intelligence, environmental, and base closure/realignment as well as land exchange issues. In addition to representing the Army on Capitol Hill, he traveled throughout the world with numerous Members of Congress and their staffs while dealing with national defense issues.

Mr. Fix's areas of expertise are defense and federal marketing, government procurement, and congressional/public relations. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1966, and holds a Masters Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
